Home Goods

Today was a beautiful sunny day!

I decided to head to Home Goods .

I always enjoy seeing what new things they have.

Last week, I had found a new chair for my house.

It has the appearance of linen and is big and comfortable.

Since then I've been looking for a throw blanket to go over the corner of it.

I wanted to add a little color to the chair as well as try and protect it from these naughty little kitties that run around here.

My goal was to find a cream colored throw but when I got there I fell in love with a blue nubby throw.

I think I'm just so ready for Spring.

Another thing I found was this wonderful basket.

I love some of the new reproduction items I'm finding right now.

I hope you had a little sunshine in your day!

Miss Mustard Seed Paint

Well, the pretty black French cabinet sold yesterday so I quickly grabbed another piece to paint and get into Monticello.

When I bought this piece, that I am going to show you, I wasn't to excited about it.

My husband tagged it and when I went back to look at it...I wondered why he had tagged it (sorry Honey).

I wish I had a before picture.

Imagine yellow with red trim...hmm....

But, you know what?

I painted it and I think it turned out pretty nice.

I had bought Miss Mustard Seed's paint but had never used it.

I picked "French Enamel".

I love it, it turned out so nice.

I didn't know what to expect but it was real easy to mix and apply.

All the wonderful colors came through in the right areas.

I can't wait to try another project...and another color!

"You did good Honey!"

Re-Stocking

Today I made a quick run to Monticello to restock a few things.

Here are a few quick pictures I took with my phone.

I picked up this sweet Frenchy piece of furniture probably a year and a half ago.

It finally made it to the shop.

The metal work on it has little cherubs, pretty sweet!

An old clock which I've enjoyed at home while waiting until a spot became available at the shop.

A little metal chandelier I picked up this past week.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
